METALSTAR 820 is a graphite-free die grease based on mineral oil for continuous casting of aluminium alloys.
METALSTAR 820
- METALSTAR 820 is a special grease used as sliding agent or as release agent for the manufacture of blanks and plates. The lubricating film reduces friction between the material and the die. The separating and sliding film reliably prevents adhesion of aluminium to the die. METALSTAR 820 is suitable for plates (thickness up to 5000 mm) and ingots (thickness up to 4500 mm) made of aluminium alloys.
- METALSTAR 820 is applied undiluted onto the die by means of brush or roller.
